HA6 Task 4 - Production

I started making my holster by using the extruding vertices method. I first made the pouch and straps that upwards on the left. I then used the mirror modification to save time and make the pouches and straps look the same.

Once that was done I made the back plate that connected all the objects and made four small cylinders that made it look like the straps were connected to the back plate by screws.

I then added a brown colour to make it look like a leather holster and smoothed out the object.

For my zippo lighter I created a cube for the body and added two edge loops, the edge loops are there to give it a slant and make it look more detailed. I then used the vertices method of extruding to create the part where the flame comes out so I could get the sloping design on the right of it. I got a cylinder and used the boolean modification to place holes in the flame part. I also added some edge loops to the lid to get that same effect as what I did for the body.

Next I added a wheel and switch to make the zippo look even more detailed, I copied the cylinder and made a smaller one that would be coloured black so that it looked like it was attached using screw and such. Once it was created I started adding colour to the object, as you can see I used white grey and black. I also added the bevel modification to the body and lid to make it look curved and smoothed out all the objects.

To make my gun I started off by drawing the outline of main areas, this would make the whole gun a flat 2D image but that would be easily extrudable to make a crisp clean 3D image.

After making the main body, trigger and grip of the gun by extruding vertices I then went onto the make the ammunition and firing part of the gun by creating cylinders and resizing them. I added colour to the gun to make and smoothed it out to make it look and better and for the ammunition slot I got a smaller cylinder and used the boolean modification to place holes into it making it look like there were slots for bullets to go into.

This is my cigarette packet, I started off by making two cubes, I added two edges loop to the main body so I could make a dip in the front of the carton and lowered the back end of the lid to give it a slant. I then made two cylinders that would fit together, this was so that I could make the orange and white areas of a cigarette.

I then added colour to the model, I used a blue for the lid and main body of the carton and added two more edge loops that would go sideways. Using the faces of the middle of the carton I turned that white to make it look like a branded type cartoon and to give it more detail.
